an old twisted used up olive tree in kusadasi, turkey.
it kinda caught my attention as it appeared on this lanscape alone, lonely.
it provides no shade, no fruit, no apparent physical benefit.
obviously, someone consciously spared it's life;
maybe, out of respect for the ages and turmoil and countless weather-beaten years it has survived.
maybe, it's tireless beauty was considered an endless fruit, just as it's once fruitful branches.
maybe, enough of it's brethren have been torn down to make way for storefronts of useless trinket mongers.
maybe, it's protected and just plain ol' illegal to cut off it's life
